Our History
Fred Sebyala transporters ltd was formally established in 1967 as a family business with only handful of Buses and trucks. In 1996 it was incorporated into a limited company, The aim was to be the main provider to the transport service industry in E.A. Today a company has build a reputable brand and is undoubtedly one of the largest private transport services in E. A mainly Uganda.
The company was initially conceived in the early 1960s from a small residential yard in mengo area of kampala. The 3 owners, The two brothers Fred Sebyala, Saka Godfrey and the son of Fred Sebyala Mulindwa Edward landed the first contract form Caltex, Shell Uganda and Total Uganda for local delivery transportation in Uganda.
The Truck enthusiasts, started with 3 brand new FIAT and Leyland bodied truck, 12 Buses and worked hard to build the business well into 1960s until acknowledging, there was a need to fill a void in the bulk haulage industry in E.A with particular focus on petroleum products.
